Minimally Invasive Dental Implants - Flapless Surgery - Dr. Meytal Salman

In suitable cases, dental implants can be placed using a minimally invasive flapless technique, without raising a traditional gum flap and often without the need for stitches.
Following careful clinical assessment, 3D CBCT imaging and precise implant planning, the implant may be placed through a small opening in the gum while preserving as much of the surrounding soft tissue as possible.
The goal is not simply to make implant surgery smaller, but to perform the necessary treatment as precisely and conservatively as possible — potentially reducing tissue trauma and allowing for a more comfortable initial recovery.

How Is Treatment Planned?
1. Clinical Assessment : A comprehensive examination of the teeth, gums, bite and proposed implant site.
2. 3D CBCT ImagingThree-dimensional imaging allows assessment of available bone and important anatomical structures.
3. Implant PlanningThe position, diameter, length and angulation of the implant are selected with both the available anatomy and the final restoration in mind.
4. Implant PlacementWhen conditions are appropriate, the implant may be placed through a small opening in the gum without raising a conventional flap.
Where one or more teeth are missing, implants can restore chewing function and the appearance of the teeth. Suitability is assessed at an examination, with imaging and a written treatment plan before any treatment begins.
